Shrimp and Beef Stir-Fry

Shrimp and Beef Stir-Fry is a flavorful stir-fry with jumbo shrimp, fresh vegetables, and a savory sauce, perfect over rice or noodles.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp

  • 8 large asparagus stalks cut in to roughly 1-2 inch pieces

  • 2 red bell peppers cut in to thick slices

  • 4 green onions cut in to 1 inch pieces

  • 10 cloves rough chopped garlic

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger

  • 1 bunch basil, leaves only

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch slurry (water cornstarch mixture)

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil of choice


RECIPE:

  1. Heat wok or skillet to medium/high heat. Combine oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil and ginger and set aside. Add 2 tbs cooking oil to wok or skillet and coat entire surface with oil. 

  2. Add in green onion, asparagus, bell peppe and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes stirring constantly.  Add in shrimp and cook for about 90 seconds to two minutes. Stir in sauce mixture and cornstarch slurry. Cook and stir for about a minute making sure thick sauce is coating everything. Stir in basil leaves and cook for 20-30 seconds. 

  3. Serve immediately over noodles, rice or enjoy as is!!! Garnish with extras basil and enjoy!
