Soy Sauce Wings

Delicious soy sauce wings marinated and glazed with soy sauce-based BBQ sauce.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cup soy sauce

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 8 cloves crushed garlic

  • 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger

  • ½ stick butter

  • 4 cloves crushed garlic

  • 1 cup soy

  • ¾ cup ketchup

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 4 tbsp black pepper

  • Green onion for garnish (optional)

RECIPE:

  1. Combine 1 cup soy sauce, 4 cloves crushed garlic, 2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger, 1 cup sugar and 2 tbsp black pepper. Pour soy sauce marinade over chicken. Let them soak and marinade for 2 hours.

  2. Place wings on smoker at 250 degrees for 40 mins.

  3. While the wings smoke, prepare the sauce: Melt ½ stick butter in small pot on low heat. Add 4 cloves crushed garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add in 1 cup soy sauce, ¾ cup ketchup, 1 cup brown sugar and 2 tbsp black pepper. Bring to a simmer and then reduce it for 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning as needed.

  4. After 40 minutes, increase the heat on the smoker to 350 and cook for another 10 minutes.

  5. Glaze the wings with your sauce and then cook for an additional 10 minutes.

  6. Plate your wings, top with more sauce if you’re feeling frisky and garnish with green onions. Enjoy!
